“I Could Never Pull That Off.”

I don’t think I’ve ever said the phrase, “I could never pull that off.” It isn’t the way I look at fashion or style. You can be whoever you create & that phrase is just a cop -out. Being creative and original is apart of the process when finding your own unique style. Lady Gaga was just recently quoted as saying that she has “always been an outspoken and extreme dresser.” Now we know her original creations are legitimate since they represent her character and personality.

Confidence is key. Without confidence you are subjecting yourself to others opinion & discretion. Having confidence when wearing a daring ensemble or something new allows you to project yourself “fashionably serious”.

Who cares if someone doesn’t like it? What is the worst that could happen? Unless you walk out of your house thinking you have a good possibility of being featured on US Weekly’s fashion police section then you might want to reconsider…but even then Gaga has been criticized on many accounts yet she is still regarded as one of the most significant innovators for fashion and featured in Vogue this December.

Go as crazy as you want and try any style you want, just make sure you execute it properly. NEVER forget one of the most important universal fashion “rules”: Make sure it compliments your body type. When I see a new style I like but become hesitant about it, I always at least try it out. After the trial run I evaluate whether or not it looks good on me. Example: I love leather leggings and was very excited to try them. However I’ve excepted the fact that they look horrible on me. I put them on again every couple of months but every time I can’t stand how they make my body look. At least I gave them a chance and tried something new.
