DIY: Très Chic Glove/Scarf Duo

16358_178816708552_699328552_2912998_6957653_nI haven’t really analyzed the reasons why I become so creative during Halloween. Besides the fabulous shoes I created, I also accidently created a glove/scarf duo. Take note: my version is not intended to provide substantial warmth. I’m a Floridian and I would consider this piece to be more of an avant-garde representation. While writing this I researched to see if I could find anything similar already made and the only example I found (pictured below) is by Danish designer Peter Jensen. His work is clearly more functional for the winter season.

How to:

I began by wrapping the scarf around the glove and sewing it on. You will want to tack the scarf first onto the glove & then flip it inside out to sew. Make sure the scarf you choose is long enough so it won’t limit your arm span. You don’t have to use a scarf per say, lace, tulle, or any fabric would work. Also, any type of glove would work; I used a white satin opera glove. I like this accidental piece because to me it represents creative expression. I’m excited to see how you & others create your own rendition- pictures please!!
