Yes, you can wear brown & black – together.

Black and brown are probably the most basic hues that help form the foundation of an outfit. Wearing the two colors together can actually make a fabulous, eye-catching ensemble. The ironic part about this is somewhere at sometime, someone or society said wearing black & brown together isn’t allowed. The ultimate purpose of fashion is to be creative which might include breaking the rules. So technically there are no actual “rules” about wearing black and brown together. However, I can give helpful tips and examples, inspiring you to try something new.

Why it looks good together:

The concept of black and brown being worn together is taboo but they actually look good together since they’re both neutrals and easy to mix & match. Wearing these colors together evokes confidence. Black and brown are cozy and trendy hues, also displaying that you’re gutsy (since most people shy aware from this combination). I suggest wearing one of the colors as an accent just like you would with any other shade. You don’t want the two hues to compete but rather complement each other. Focusing on the textures and fabrics of the two colors make the outfit interesting and fashionably creative.

If you break the rules, break them well, X.
