DO be original!
You do not want to be the one who walks into the party to see 3 other girls wearing the same costume as you. This year’s most popular costumes will undoubtedly include Michael Jackson & Lady Gaga in the mix. Stay original & creative. Look for ideas on sites like 3wishes & yandy and if you buy a standard costume at least make your own alterations & touches.

Lingerie - NOT a costume...

DO remember your boyfriend. If you have chosen a couples themed costume, please remember that your boyfriend wants to look good too. Seeing a couple on Halloween where the girl is dressed as Dorthy & her boyfriend the Tin Man is horrific! Pick an ensemble that you both like & look good in.

DONT try to fit into a toddler costume.

DO pick a flattering costume that compliments your body. No matter how fabulous you think it is, Halloween is not an exception for wearing the wrong costume.

2009 Trends

Groupies – Make it a team effort by gathering your friends and collaborating on group costuming. Getting ready together & having a preparty and/or photoshoot with the group in costume is a guaranteed fun start to the night.

Alice! – Regardless of the partialty…. Alice in Wonderland theme is big this year.

Vampires – They will undoubtedly be “in” this season due to the Twilight takeover. Remember the goal is to be unique by choosing an original costume. If you absolutely have to wear a vampire costume, at least go over & above.

Something You - Mix your costume with your own collection of accessories and shoes. Use your own cute black stilettos rather than buying the tacky pleather hooker platforms that you can only wear disgracefully one night only.
